What carried me through was culture and Family.

In ceremony, I found healing. In the teachings of Elders, I found direction. In the smoke of medicines, the warmth of sweat lodges, and the prayers passed down through generations, I found my way home. My culture was never simply something I belonged to, it became something that saved me. It taught me that resilience is not about being unbreakable. It is about learning how to gather your pieces and continue forward anyway.

As I healed, I began creating.

What started as beadwork soon became something greater. Every stitch became a prayer. Every pattern became a connection to those who walked before me. Sewyers was never meant to be just a business. It became a reflection of my journey, my culture, and my commitment to leaving something meaningful behind.

Along the way, I discovered a passion for serving others. I Joined the military, I coached youth football, helping young athletes believe in themselves both on and off the field. I taught beadwork classes in schools, sharing culture, creativity, and connection with the next generation. I learned that leadership is not about standing in front of people, it is about walking beside them and showing them what is possible.

My journey has also carried me far beyond the places I once called home. I have solo traveled more than ten times, exploring new cities, meeting people from every walk of life, and learning that the world becomes smaller when you lead with curiosity and kindness. Every journey taught me something different. Every road reminded me that growth happens when we are willing to step into the unknown.

In recent years, opportunities I once only dreamed of began finding their way into my life. I stepped into the world of modeling and acting, walking red carpets, appearing in film productions, and taking part in runway shows. What once felt impossible slowly became reality. Not because the road was easy, but because I refused to stop walking it.

Yet no matter where life takes me, whether it is a film set, a runway, a classroom, a ceremony, or a small community gathering, I carry the same purpose with me: to inspire others to believe that their circumstances do not define their future.

Today, I continue building Sewyers while pursuing new opportunities in education, storytelling, business, acting, and community leadership. I created projects like “Speaking For Generations” because I believe every person carries wisdom worth sharing. Every life contains lessons, struggles, victories, and dreams that deserve to be remembered.

The older I get, the more I understand that success is not measured by money, recognition, or achievements alone. Success is measured by the lives we touch, the stories we preserve, and the courage we leave behind for those who come after us.

I want my life to be proof that healing is possible.

Proof that culture is powerful.

Proof that a young Cree girl from a small community can travel the world, build businesses, walk runways, tell stories, and create opportunities not only for herself but for others as well.

Sewyers is not simply a brand.

It is a collection of prayers, teachings, scars, dreams, and beginnings.

It is a reminder that even after the darkest winters, the earth remembers how to bloom.

And if my story has taught me anything, it is this:

No matter where you come from, your future is still waiting for you.
